Our team will create a look designed to meet your expectations for your special day and you can be confident that your look will last all day long. We come to you in the comfort of your own home, hotel or desired location, ready & on time...because really, this is a once in a lifetime experience and we look forward to making it all about you!
When should I schedule a preview?
A. We always recommend scheduling a preview. This will help settle some nerves allowing us to bring your vision to life. Since trends are always changing, we say but 3-5 months out is perfect. This sometimes is not ideal if your wedding day is in high demand and you need to book your day before someone else does. We are known for taking as much time is needed to nail a look, that is what the preview is for!
Will I have the same person for the preview and the wedding?
A. OMG YES! Anyone who tells you they will send someone else, run for the hills! The importance of a preview is to build a relationship, trust and to calm your nerves. Two different artists may do a fantastic job, but no two are exactly alike, and you want to have confidence that the same person who nailed your preview will also be there to nail your wedding day look!
Can I put my deposit & contract down before scheduling a preview?
A. Sure, we actually have a lot of brides do this based on our reviews and work alone. We still encourage you to have a preview done at some point just to be on the same page as on team.
How long do trials take?
A. We always want you to be able to plan your day accordingly. We do get a lot of brides from out of town and even out of the country who need to meet up with a lot of vendors in one day. We usually do 1 trial service per hour per artist.
For example: If you have a small wedding party and only one stylist is needed then for her to do both your hair & makeup trial will take about 2 hours. If your wedding party is larger, we include 2 artists so with each artist working on you simultaneously it will take about 1 hour.
Do you provide any hair accessories?
A. Unfortunately we don't. Any hair pieces, extensions, and veils that you would like to use for your preview and day of would have to be provided by the bride.
?
Where do the trials take place? Do you travel?
A. We do most of our bridal trials in our Hoboken salon, however if you would like to book a trial in your home please email us for availability and travel fees.
Can I make adjustments to my services after the wedding is booked?
A. Yep, you have until 2 weeks before your wedding day to finalized any services. If you need to add on any services or if Aunt Becky can't make it so you need to cancel her services, you're good!
How do I secure your services for my wedding day?
A. We book on a first come/first serve basis. When you are serious about booking, we will send you the contract to review and a finalized breakdown to fill out. Once the finalized breakdown is filled out and sent back, we will create an invoice. Once you receive the invoice, make sure everything looks correct. Then the last thing we will need is a 35% deposit and the contract signed and sent back. Deposits are non-refundable.
Do you have a minimum or maximum for a wedding party?
A. We take all wedding party sizes! From just the bride to a large party of 20 (or more), no minimums here. If you already have one service (such as hair or makeup) booked with another vendor, we can do the other service no problem! For the most part we are extremely flexible with what we offer, because we know not all brides have the same needs.
Does my bridal party need professional hair & makeup done?
A. Hair and makeup are a great gift for your bridesmaids, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, etc. It allows all of you to be together, you will not have the unexpected hair and makeup disaster of the one bridesmaid who likes to wear loads of makeup, it allows everyone to look nice for pictures and it allows them to be pampered as well.
What is the difference between Traditional & Airbrush Makeup?
A. Traditional Makeup is the use and application of your regular liquid foundation (what you would use at home), applied using a foundation brush, sponge, or a duo fiber brush. Traditional foundation is a lot more thicker in consistency.
Airbrush Makeup is a very thin substance; thinner than regular liquid foundation. Airbrushing sprays a very fine mist to the skin using a small air compressor with gentle air pressure. It allows the makeup to “sit evenly”on your skin. Airbrush makeup provides flawless coverage & minimizes skin’s imperfections while still maintaining that lightweight feel. The final result is giving the skin a beautifully natural looking finished & requires less touch ups!
THINGS TO REMEMBER...
Your wedding day is the one day in your life that you will be photographed more than any other.
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize up to that day! This includes your face and your lips. Your makeup will look so much better and will apply much easier. Exfoliating your skin a few times a week, a few weeks before the wedding will help your skin to look radiant.
Take care of your lips too so that you will have a smooth, soft looking lip. If you are having problems with them being overly chapped then apply Vaseline or Vicks VapoRub to a toothbrush to exfoliate them.
If you are waxing, please do it at least week in advance in case of a breakout. It is hard to cover hives and peeled off skin!
If you are receiving a facial, again, please do it at least a week in advance for the same reasons.
Tanning is ok. Do not over-tan yourself to where your makeup looks totally off. The more that you tan, the more shine you will produce in your pictures. Spray tanning is an awesome substitute! It's quick, easy and our artists are pretty awesome.
If you never wear makeup you can still have light makeup on that makes you look radiant.
Do not decide that you want to try a new product out in the days before your event. Try it out at least 2 weeks beforehand.
Let people take care of you for your special day. You have worked and stressed hard enough planning everything! Get pampered a little...it is worth it!
